Elephant / "Little Peanut" Baby Shower
YAY!!! It's Baby Rose / Linda shower day!! Momma Linda is doing sort of an elephant / gray, turq, cream theme for the nursery, so we got busy coming up with the "Little Peanut" theme. Had so much fun celebrating both of them :)
First the invitation (which we got off Etsy)
Then the decorations...
Elephant Pom Poms!!
How to make: Tissue Pom Pom
Little Peanut Banner!
Elephant washcloths!
The guest book!
and then the FOOD!!!! I used the invite format and tweeked it to make the food labels! Check out how creative those label names are :)
Can't forget the "Watering Hole"...
Punch Recipe
We played 2 really fun games:
1. Price is Right
2. Memory Game
Baby Shower Memory Game
Supplies
2 Poster boards
Cardstock
Candy (found a lot of mine at Oldtimecandy.com)
Basically just write the baby term name below on both poster boards (not in the same spot of course). Need 15 letters covering on one side / 15 #s covering on the other side. Then make sure you buy the candy bars for each baby term.
To play the game - just have guests guess 1 letter and 1 # (one from each poster board). Then if the terms match, pull the cover off and give them the candy that associates with it!

Little Man Baby Shower
YAY!! It's Baby P's Little Man shower day!!! We had to go all out for such a Manly Man :) We can't wait to meet him - only 4 more weeks!!!
The invite - courtesy of Etsy!
Wouldn't be a baby shower without a diaper / monthly onesie cake!
Then to keep with the theme, I made silverware/napkins into bowties :)
AND used the same format from the invite for some food labels!
Cream Cheese and Cucumber Sandwiches
Real bowtie pasta...how awesome is that?!
Some other fun labels for the food (I forgot to take pics)!:
Wet Your Whiskers - punch / water
Baby Boys Candy - fruit
Little Mister Munchies - chips
Mustaches for the cupcake pics
And cutie mason jars with bowties around them - and festive mustache straws!
Led to some GREAT pics :)
We made up a corsage for both the MOM-to-be and GMA-to-be
And some bowtie diaper garland :) for our photo booth backdrop!
We had everyone sign a message for the Little Man
and then took pics with fun props to put next to it!

Baby Food - Mango
This was Brody's all time favorite food so far! He can't get enough....I think he would eat these until he was sick!
One mango yields about six ounces of puree.
Wash the mango with a mixture of three parts water and one part white vinegar to remove bacteria. Rinse under cool running water and dry.
Use a knife with serrated edges to slice the thickest part of the mango on either side; cut as close as possible to the pit. Make three horizontal and three vertical cuts (down to the peel but not through it) in the flesh of the mango. Scoop the flesh out with a spoon.
Puree mango in a food processor or blender until smooth. Add water as needed to reach desired consistency.
Refrigerate leftover mango puree for up to 3 days. Freeze leftovers for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in your refrigerator.
